Once you make the reservation on line (after confirming with us availability), please send us an e-mail stating:
- your full name,
- contact number (cell phone number),
- charter duration,
- date/time of the charter reserved,
- amount of the deposit submitted.
After receiving your e-mail with forwarded payment confirmation - we will follow up with full confirmation including all charter details.
The act of booking any of our boats means the customer accepts this Cancellation Policy (see below) and agrees to pay the amounts agreed.
The form below is ONLY for sailboat LANCER. Pls request reservation form for any other vessel. Please request RESERVATION FORM for any full amount payments and full day charters.

Pls contact us for Charter Reservation Form if:
- you intend to use international credit card (not USA) or American Express
- you want to book us for a charter longer than half day
- if you intend to pay full amount with your credit card - in such a case the remaining balance will be charged min 30 hrs before the scheduled charter with additional 3.5% credit card processing fee of full charter rate. The credit card fee will be charged seperately to charter rate (the fee depends on credit card used)

Why is the reservation DEPOSIT required?
We require RESERVATION DEPOSIT of half to reserve the boat as no other reservation would be taken for this time. Once you have been booked us for the cruise, we no longer accept reservations for this date & time. Therefore, there won't be any refunds due to last minute cancellations, “no show” nor shortening of the trip (if you reserve the boat for a full day - it means we are not accepting any more booking for this day - therefore last minute requests of shortening the trip and refunds cannot be accepted unless we book another charter for this time)

In short:
CANCELLATION POLICY (DAY CHARTERS):
Payment in Advance: A downpayment of 50% of the Charter Amount is required for this reservation at the time of booking; the remaining balance is due cash on the day of the charter (by boarding) or credit – min. 30 hrs before. We do not accept credit cards for a remaining balance upon boarding time.
Deposits of cancelled charters by written notice 7 (seven) days prior to embarkation can be applied to future charter, after discounting the expenses incurred, if any (if food purchased). NO CREDIT OR REFUNDS will be issued - UNLESS we are able to book another charter for the same day/time & duration. Only then the refund would be issued minus processing fees (min. $75). If we are unable to book the day due to your cancellation and you do not want/cannot reschedule – the cancellation fee of $150 (crew fees for half day) or $250 (crew fees for full day) plus credit processing fees (3%) would apply to refunded amount.
Any cancellation within 48 hrs will be charged full amount - unless we can rebook the date for the same charter duration. If we can rebook the date the canellation penalty fee of $75-150 fee will be charged.
Reschedule / Cancellation due to bad weather at departure time. We can accept cancellations showing up at the embarkation time due to heavy rain, lack of visibility or winds in excess of 25 knots. No deposits will be refunded. In this case charter will be rescheduled at both parties convenience or deposit would be held for your future reservation anytime. If provisions have been already purchased for a dinner charter - the cost of food is non refundable. If you do not want/cannot reschedule – the cancellation fee of $150 (crew fees for half day) or $250 (crew fees for full day) plus credit card processing fees (3%) would applied to refunded amount. If provisions have been already purchased for a dinner charter - the cost of food is non refundable.
Afternoon scattered / isolated showers are normal in Miami and occur mostly inland during summer months (May-Sept) in mid afternoon - they are easily avoidable while sailing in the bay. Scattered / isolated showers do not count to cancelling the charter; if it occurs at embarkation time - the charter would be postponed later in the day (it usually ends within 15 mins).
No show ups will be charged the full amount.
Even after full payment has been received, MIAMISAILING.NET reserve the right to cancel a reservation just by e-mail or phone notification. Just in this case your deposit will be refunded. We will not accept any claims or losses, damages, expenses or liabilities for cancellations. We reserve the right to cancel a reservation without notice if we become aware of or are notified of any fraud or illegal activity associated with the payment for this reservation.
